Eve Carroll – Potter / Artist / Maker.

I am now very excited to be working from my studio here in the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastal village of Moylegrove,

We have up sticks and relocated from Cople, Bedfordshire in the last 6 months during lockdown.

I am looking forward to exploring my new surroundings and once again meeting new people to share my love of pottery with!

Where did it all begin?

I soon identified Art as my favourite subject at school, enjoying drawing, painting and sculpting,

Not surprising really that I went on to study art at college in the 80’s. Firstly, ‘Fine Art’ and then ‘Ceramic Design’ at Camberwell School of Art, graduating with a BA Hons Degree in 1991.

After graduating, I worked from my studio in London, exhibiting at various art fairs, shows and galleries with fellow makers. I have also spent the last 30 years teaching pottery to all ages and ability ranges.

Having moved countries and locations a few times now, I am very happy to settle in West Wales by the sea and carry on my practice of potting.

These days, I combine my time by making my own range of pottery with offering clay making workshops to adults and children of all ages.

I enjoy using art as a way of connecting people with their own creative potential.

My pottery workshops take place here at my studio and focuses on wheel work as well as hand building and decorative techniques. Having further undertaken training in Art Psychotherapy at Goldsmiths University in London, I realise the benefits of ‘Art’ as a therapeutic experience.

My Philosophy….

‘Art should be a shared practice, to be enjoyed by all’!

Feedback from my workshops

We had a lovely pottery experience at Eve’s. I took my 8 year old daughter for a pottery session during spring half term and she absolutely loved it. Eve was very kind and helped make my daughters pottery pieces extra special. Thank you so much! Would highly recommend it!
