Choose from Flowers / Giant Seed Heads / Herb or Vegetable Sticks, an ornament to enhance your garden space.

From complete beginners to intermediate levels, (whatever your ability), this pottery workshops caters for all. You will be guided through the various making processes, introducing you to hand-building methods and decorative techniques.

This is a perfect introduction to pottery making and you will have the opportunity to explore the joys of making with clay for yourself.

Children’s Pottery Workshops – Group Workshops

Hand-building Workshops

Come along and join local potter Eve Carroll for an immersive hands-on clay workshop. You will be hand building and learning techniques such as coiling, slab making, scoring and slipping.

Children’s Pottery Workshops / Clay Experiences -dates are available through out the year
2 hour session
Ages 7yrs and upwards
Book 2 sessions if you would like to make in the first session and decorate / design the pottery in the 2nd session using underglaze colours!
Cost: £60.00 per child per session (£100 for a 2 session workshop)
Groups will be no more than 6 Children per group

This workshop is ideal for children aged 7yrs plus. The workshops and sessions I offer are designed to inspire children to explore the making process in clay. The experience of working in a material that you can shape and mold into 3 dimensions is exciting and challenging.

Here at the workshop, children will have the opportunity to create pottery using a variety of techniques; such as hand building and coiling, combined with decorative application.

*Sessions are also available during other holiday periods, as well as some weekends. Individual 1 to 1 sessions are also available, as well as small family / friendship groups. Please just ask Eve for more details.

Children’s Pottery Workshops

‘Have a Go on the Pottery Wheel’

– Ideal for children 7 years plus!

This is a 1 hour session of pottery making, using the pottery wheel. Adults stay throughout the session.

The cost is £50 per child (£80 for 2 children – 1.5 hours duration ) Only 1 family / friendship group per session.

*There are 3 time slots per day to choose from. AM: 10.00 – 11.00am/ PM: 12.00 – 1.00pm / 2.00 – 3.30pm

‘Short Pottery Courses for Children – 2 sessions’ (One making session and one decorating session, using ceramic colour)

– Ideal for children 7 years plus!

This short course is spread over 2 weeks or 2 sessions. Each session is 2 hours long, (4 hours in total).

You will be using the pottery wheel, learning hand-building techniques with clay, hand decorating the pieces you have made in previous sessions with ceramic colours. Adults stay throughout the session.

The cost is £100.00 per child (£190.00 for 2 children) Only 1 family / friendship group per session.

*There are 2 time slots to choose from per day. AM: 10.30 – 12.30 / PM: 1.30 – 3.30

Adult Pottery Workshops

‘Have a Go on the Pottery Wheel’

– Adult Workshop Sessions.

Ideal for adults wanting to immerse themselves in creative process of throwing a pot! This is a 1.5 hour session of pottery making, using the pottery wheel.

The cost is £75.00 per adult (£130.00 for 2 adults).

*There are 2 sessions per day. AM: 10.30 – 12.30 / PM: 1.30 – 3.30

Short Pottery Courses

– Adult Workshop Sessions

This workshop is over 2 sessions and is 2 hours per session – (4 hours in total). Ideal for adults wanting to immerse themselves in the creative process and experiencing both throwing on the pottery wheel and hand-building a piece of pottery. You will also decorate your clay work with underglaze colours and oxides. This is a great activity to do with a friend!

The cost per short course is £140 per adult or £260 if coming as a pair.

*There are 2 time slots to choose from per day. AM: 10.30am – 12.30pm / PM: 2.00pm – 4.00pm
